South Africa’s largest toy and baby product retailer has just opened the doors to a brand new outlet in neighbouring Botswana.
The store, which opened at the Airport Junction Shopping Centre in Gaborone this week, aims to give customers in the city a new shopping experience by offering a wide selection of quality toys and baby essentials.
“As the largest toy and baby product retailer in the industry in South Africa, we are delighted to be opening in Gaborone. We look forward to bringing customers the best choice at the lowest possible prices, with exceptional service delivery thanks to our enthusiastic, experienced and committed staff,” says Nicole Jansen Van Vuuren, marketing manager Toys R Us & Babies R Us South Africa.
The brand new “one-stop-shop” makes its entrance just in time for customers to stock up on great deals this Christmas.
“Our brands are all about convenience and providing our customers with a seamless shopping experience. We have incredible opening deals available and we encourage our new market to take advantage of these fantastic deals ahead of Christmas,” added Van Vuuren.
The first cross-border store opened in November 2014, when Namibia became the first African country, outside of South Africa, to offer customers the much-loved Toys R Us & Babies R Us experience. The brand has since enjoyed great success, growing its presence in Zambia in March 2015, and now, in Gaborone, Botswana.
Kids will be treated to an exclusive meet and greet opportunity with the popular Toys R Us mascot, Geoffrey the Giraffe, who will also be offering customers amazing prizes and giveaways on opening day.
A special live broadcast with Gaborone’s favourite radio station – Gabz FM forms part of the grand opening where customers can further benefit with the discounted deals and magnificent giveaways from 26to 28 October 2018.
Van Vuuren added that the Toys R Us & Babies R Us is thrilled to give Botswana access to South Africa’s largest and most favoured toy brands.
The new store is located at Shop 210, Airport Junction Shopping Centre, Gaborone, Botswana.
